About Akkedisbult Cottage

Akkedisbult Cottage offers comfortable accommodation situated on a working farm, off the N12 in the Northern Cape.

The cottage consists of two bedrooms, a private bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen and an open-plan living area. A select DSTV is a fixture in the cottage. There is a lovely patio area and the garden is completely fenced off, making it safe for young children and pets.

With all the open space surrounding the farm, guests can enjoy long walks or mountain bike rides. The reservoir next to the cottage provides a refreshing break in summer time. There are braai facilities available with wood supplied.

Wish we could've stayed longer than the two nights early in January 2017 while homeward-bound.The clean, spacious cottage with fresh towels and linen, neatly packed wood ready for you to start a fire and the fenced-off dam next to the cottage providing hours of fun for our kids makes this the perfect place for us - I will not be looking for any other accommodation options in the area for as long as Akkedisbult is available! To top off all the positives of the accommodation, our stay was made even more special by the friendly owners. If you're looking to wind down, enjoy the Karoo silence and...

Just what we needed to wind down on the way to the west coast. Clean and tidy rustic cottage. Owners are very helpful and the extras like fire wood and fresh milk in the fridge are a great touch. We will visit Akkedisbult Cottage again.

I questioned my idea of stopping that far off the highway - turned out to have been a fine decision. The cottage was clean, inviting and well equipped, the Karoo was wonderful, the access road was great, the little extras like fresh milk, rusks, tea and coffee were unexpected but very welcome. All of this was outshone only by the warm hospitality of Nici and Gerald. Already planning a trip to get back there for a longer stay.
