About White House Guest Farm

The White House is an affordable halfway stop between Cape Town and Windhoek with accommodation for up to 28 people. The house itself is a stunning old farmhouse with Oregon pine floors, high wooden ceilings, wide verandas and a huge kitchen.

Guests stay in one of the five beautiful old rooms with en-suite facilities. The White House is fully equipped with bedding, towels, cutlery, toaster, kettle, tea, coffee, and sugar. There is provision for self-catering, but the guest house is well known for their home-cooked meals. We serve dinner, breakfast and provide braai packs. We also supply the wood and grid.

The White House is situated just over a 100 km from both the Fish River Canyon and Ais Ais Hot Springs.

We were received hospitably by Kinna even at the late hour we arrived. Her smile made us forget the weary road with our small baby. Everythins was sorted and ready fir our night stay, so we could take care of the important things quickly and then sink into the marvellous dinner braaipacks. Amazing to sit outside under the night sky with all those stars, quietly beside hubby, drinking a brandy and listening to a fire crackling away; followed by a brilliant Springbok fillet. Really a moment I will remember for a lifetime.

A very friendly welcome from Dolf and Nita with a tour of their little museum and a packet of rusks and complimentary milk in the fridge. It was a freezing cold night but we put on the air conditioning to keep us warm and had preordered the evening meal, which came delivered in blankets to our chalet and was piping hot and excellent home cooked food. We will be back if ever in the same area.

Very nice chalet with everything you may need to make for a comfortable stay. Not far from the main road but secluded and quiet. We enjoyed a very good hearty farm dinner delivered to our chalet. A relaxed and reviving environment to take time out on a long and dusty journey.
