My wife and I stayed at Walkerbouts for two nights in April.  Service was good and the food superb.  We had asked the Chef, Marie, whether we could keep our dairy products in her fridge because we were on a LCHF diet - no problem.  Blow me down if she doesn't go out of her way to provide us with one of the tastiest Banting-friendly suppers we have ever been served, without our asking for it!  Would go back if only for her culinary skills.  Pity we could not have a hot shower due to the lack of water pressure.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Walkerbouts. It's such a comfortable, homely place, and Rhodes is so quiet and peaceful. We will definitely be heading back there soon.

Onbekende omgewing vir ons, dit was ons eerste besoek aan Rhodes. Baie netjiese verblyf.  Alles wat jy nodig het. Pragtig, skoon en goeie waarde vir geld.  Sal dit aanbeveel aan vriende en familie.

Walkerbouts is the ideal country inn. The bedrooms are large and comfortably furnished in an old fashioned, homely style. There is plenty of heating (including electric blankets) for the cold weather. The lounge and dining room are full of interesting memorabilia and there is a good selection of books on the local flora. The food - breakfast and dinner - was excellent. It was good homestyle cooking well prepared and nicely served. Marie went out of her way to see that the guests were comfortable and well fed.Owner Dave Walker welcomed us to Rhodes "The Centre of the Universe" and both he and...
