About Waikiki Kitesurf Resort
Waikiki Kitesurf Resort is a new lodge surrounded by a tropical palmed garden. It is situated in one of the most amazing spots on the East Coast of Zanzibar.
Waikiki Beach provides over 100 meters of private beach with 15 makuti umbrellas, one for each bungalow the guests can stay in. Each bungalow has views overlooking the Indian Ocean. All rooms are furnished with double beds, except the Mazai (single) rooms, and all have have mosquito nets. The rooms have private bathrooms, as well as ceiling fans and safes.
The restaurant is the pride of Waikiki and will surprise you with the best selection of international, local and Italian cuisine. The restaurant can seat more than fifty guests and offers a view of the ocean from the arch during meal times, leaving you with a memorable experience each time. The resort also has two bars which offer a choice of the best international wines and fresh fruit cocktails. On Friday nights, Waikiki hosts the most popular beach party on all of Zanzibar Island.
In the Mazai garden you will find a veranda where professional masseurs will help you relax with over 10 different types of massages. Locally infused oils and essences and an open environment provide guests with the feeling of ultimate relaxation and physical well-being.
Waikiki offers a variety of water-based activities like kitesurfing, diving, deep sea fishing, and island excursions. On land guests can enjoy a quad biking and horse riding. Beach parties and the Friday Night Disco are all part of the exclusive Waikiki Kitesurf Resort activities.
The brand new kite centre is the first authorized centre on the East Coast and here you will find instructors from Spain that provide training courses. Kite material can also be rented. With the lovely wind and tide conditions, it allows all kiters, from beginners to professionals, to enjoy this amazing sport. Only members of the centre are allowed to surf in the area.
