About Ubizane Zululand Safari Lodge

The startle of the impala, the shriek of a monkey in an Umbrella thorn tree, and the gracious sweeping movement of the giraffe as it bends down to drink from the watering hole nestled under the magnificent marula trees. Besides catching a glimpse of the activity at the watering hole, the rooms also look up at the majestic Ubizane Hill.

A beautiful lodge with a heritage spanning over 40 years, Safari Lodge is scattered around the spacious rolling lawns dotted with aged aloes, replanted from different areas on the farm, as well as scented thorn trees providing a beautiful backdrop to the setting. Rondavel-style rooms all face the constant watering hole nestled under the marula trees quenching in the thirst of the giraffe, zebra, nyala, impala, and kudu. The watering hole is also lit at night giving a possible glimpse of animals roaming around in the dark.

There is a variety of different styled rooms at Safari Lodge, all of them with our trademark glass panelled sliding doors, allowing not an inch of nature escaping without being noticed by the guests from within the rooms. All rooms are fully self-catering, featuring a fully-equipped kitchen and a private patio with comfortable furniture.

Safari Lodge has a swimming pool area, communal braais, and a boma with a bonfire pit which can be used on request. We do not charge any additional costs for the use of Family Rooms but we do however limit them to only be used for guests of minimum three people. We charge a per person per night rate and extra for additional guests.

Wedding Venues: Guests can make use of the Bush Deck for ceremony or reception and a restaurant is available.

Conference Venues: The modern conference center is equipped with air-conditioning, a projector, a whiteboard, as well as a water and coffee station. Wi-Fi vouchers are available from reception.

Family friendly: We have a jungle gym, a large swimming pool and rolling lawns where children can run and play.

Great place, great hospitality and fantastic staff who go the extra mile to make you stay a pleasure. If you seek tranquility, peace and quiet, this is the place. Each rondavel was clean, spacious, and well fitted with all you need for a great stay at a great price.Had a super family braai in the boma. Ideally suited for great family reunions and other functions. Looking forward to returning with extended family this time round. You guys have really made the place welcoming and a pleasure to be at.
