We had a great time. The service was amazing and we were treated as part of the family at dinner. Will definitely stay again on our way to Sedgefield.

The place was clean, but upon arrival the B&B was locked with no one in sight. I had to phone for someone to come and help us. There was only a quarter of a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom. No coffee, no sugar, no tea, no milk. No bar fridge, no aircon and the restaurant on the premises was not even open. No room service and no Wi-Fi. Also the shower literally has one spout of water coming out of it. They advertise all these things on your website but there is none of it available. I actually want my money back because I was fooled into booking into a room that promised a, b and c...

Arrived at the venue (nothing like the photograph) to find it locked with no one around. Phoned every single number on the building (the cellphone now belongs to someone else) and not one was answered. Eventually after half an hour of standing in the street we left and found alternative accommodation.

This is a certain gem that we found in Middelburg, a place we knew little of but now thanks in large part to the excellent hosting of Mike, a spot that we would visit again. We truelly enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere, the wonderfull food prepared by Johan and his able staff and the sincerity shown by our host to provide us with an truelly unforgetfull experience. I highly recommend others to consider this establishment when travelling to the area.

We'll definately be back. Quiet, clean, welcoming and they even put on a Christmas meal for the guests.

Tubby is a little railway inspector’s cart formerly used to inspect the district’s rail tracks. Today it is used to take visitors on two-hour trips up Lootsberg. The views are lovely and there are opportunities to spot kudu and smaller antelope on...

Compassberg is 2502m high. From Ganora it takes about 1 hour todrive to the back from where you can start climbing. If you do not have a 4X4 it takes about 3 hours up and 3 hours down. With a 4X4 you can get further up the mountain to a point...
