We had a wonderful stay, the room provides everything you need and more. Feels like home away from home. We will definitely be back and can absolutely recommend it.

What a great stay. Clean, comfortable and great value for money.  We could not use the great braai area because of the rain, but the fireplace burned all weekend :)  Situated on the outskirts of this small village, but within walking distance of all the main attractions.  Putting the number in my book for the future.

We very much enjoyed our 2 night stay at Starry nights in Nieu Bethesda. We were warmly welcomed by Megan and our open-plan family-type room was large, well-equipped and had a lovely outlook from the back stoep onto a pretty garden and beyond, to the mountains. Particularly welcome was the ample supply of tea, coffee (including for a supplied plunger), milk, etc. - more than enough for a week's stay!

Of all the many things to do and see in Nieu-Bethesda, the Owl House grabs first place. Once you’ve ticked off the surreal and quirky home of Helen Martin’s, lace up your walking shoes and do something different. Follow the quaint network of...

The James Kitching Fossil Centre lets visitors discover a landscape that forms an integral part in world history, specifically Earth's extinction event 250 million years ago. Take a half-hour stroll with a guide to the nearby Gats River bed and find...

Tubby is a little railway inspector’s cart formerly used to inspect the district’s rail tracks. Today it is used to take visitors on two-hour trips up Lootsberg. The views are lovely and there are opportunities to spot kudu and smaller antelope on...

Situated behind the Karoo Lamb Restaurant in a converted stable, this cosy and authentic pub is where you will find the locals of Nieu Bethesda’s warming up or cooling down. Grab an ale or two and be entertained by stories of the dorp at the...
