About Olyfenbosch Cottages

Olyfenbosch Cottages are two charming historic cottages situated on a working wine farm at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains overlooking vineyards, with stunning views beyond. The cottages are close to mountain trails and nature reserves and activities on the farm include hiking, bird watching, mountain biking, swimming, and fishing in the dams.

Hartbeeshuis is a quaint renovated house comprising two luxury en-suite bedrooms, an open-plan lounge and dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen. Part of this building dates back to the mid-1800s and the unit also features three verandah areas for entertainment, one with built-in barbecue facilities.

J's Cottage is a converted wine cellar. This Victorian cottage is set under oaks and comprises two bedrooms, both with inside shutters. Both bedrooms share a spacious bathroom, complete with a shower and Victorian bath.

Please note we don't have cellphone reception on the farm, you need to go 500 m down the road to get reception.

Jenny and John are wonderful hosts who made us feel right at home. Our cottage was very comfortable and the views spectacular! A wonderful libary filled with historical treasures was a treat. The cottage is close enough to town to hop in and out but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. Highly recommended.

The cottage is nicely setup with everything you could need, a great view, a braai place and just a short drive from some great wine farms. What more could you want.

The views are beautiful, the house comfortable and spacious. TV/DSTV is only available inside the main house which are the owner's. We could only book in at 17:00 on Friday. On Sunday morning, we were advised that check out time is 10:00 but that we could stay a bit longer, but then the owner started moving in between us while we were having breakfast, cleaning up and starting to wash linen. This is even though no guests arrived the following day.

We spent 4 nights at the self-catering cottage and loved being there.  The cottage was comfortably equipped and the hosts charming and helpful.  The views from the front porch are exquisite - and a tree full of birds alongside the cottage was a bonus. Highly recommended!
