About Manico Camp

Manico Camp is situated on Inhaca Island in Mozambique, surrounded by clear blue waters and coral reefs, making Inhaca a popular diving, snorkelling and fishing destination. We offer one-bedroom log cabins, bush cabins, a tent camp, and campsites with power points and ablutions facilities with hot and cold water.

The camp features a fully fitted kitchen with ample freezing facilities, and we are in close proximity to a variety of restaurants and pubs that serve excellent seafood dishes. Several recreation activities are available in the area, including deep-sea fishing, fly-fishing, snorkelling, scuba diving, sea kayaking, whale watching, hiking trails, and daily trips to Portuguese Island.

We had a lovely couple of nights at Manico Camp. Our host, Hester, was very helpful and hospitable, and upgraded our accommodation for free because there were vacancies.Inhaca is a beautiful spot, with a warm, calm sea and beautiful beaches. The only advice I would give is to make sure that the ferry is running in advance - it was broken during our trip and on the return journey we spent the better part of a day trying to organise a small boat to take us across, at a higher cost than the ferry (2000 meticais/person vs 400 meticais/person for the ferry). To her credit, however, Hester even offer...

Really enjoyed the laid back, Island style environment of the lodge. Comfortable, rustic accommodation, good food & fantastic hosts in Manie & Hester. Pristine beaches, fantastic snorkeling & a memorable experience that we'd love to do again. Provisions in the village are limited but look for local restaurants serving reasonable delicious fresh fish, lobster & the best crab dishes. Rest & relaxation (rum & raspberry) at it's most unpretentious. Such a beautiful place to discover. Thank you to all the staff at Manico Lodge for making the start of the new year special...

Manico camp is a great place. It's run by two great people that help with everything they can, and make you feel at home. They give good advice and recommendations. Highly recommend! The one thing that bothered us, was that the showers & toilets are out of the room. Also, when you book with Safari now, they don't inform you that when you arrive you have to pay island tax (not Manico camps fault ).

Perfect time of year weather sublime. Manico camp well thought out attractive very pleasant management couple good tasty food. Downside not on a beach as you would imagine beach more like a flood line on a sand bank. Would be so much more of an experience if the camp offered boating excursions to other spots on the island once you the you are stuck unless you pay a fortune to get around the island. A lovely break and good for us but as a holiday destination you will not be satisfied unless you are a deep sea fiishing.Otherwise camp very attractive and appealing.
