About Khumbula iAfrica

Enjoy the comfort of this thatched, cozy, well-appointed, self-contained accommodation set in the tranquil surroundings of the African bushveld.

Marloth Park holiday village is situated on the southern border of Krugerpark, separated only by the Crocodile River. There are no fences, so the wild animals roam freely. Residents and visitors to Marloth Park are requested to respect this unique situation where wild animals and humans co-exist together in harmony.

Between 18.00 hours and 06.00 hours the Park belongs to the animals. Residents and visitors can travel in their vehicles in the park during this time and experience their own 'night safari' or settle on the veranda as the sun goes down and enjoy a 'sundowner', listen to the birds and animals of the night wake up.

Nowhere else you can sit on your patio with a glass of south african wine, enjoy the impala, kudu, zebra and giraffe. It's the comfort of home combined with the mood of the bushveld, that bring guests back to Khumbula iAfrica again and again.

We have stayed there for two nights in Khumbula Chalet 2. The place is very nice and kept very clean. All the facilities are available in the chalet except Washing Machine. Security is very good. Out side view specially in morning is nice. The only problem is Khumbula located at very far from main tar road and no proper guidance or sign board present on road. You have to reply on Mobile GPS or GPS device.

The surroundings were so peaceful and tranquil, Shirley and Zack were amazing and catered to our every need, it really was an amazing getaway and I wish we were able to stay longer, the animals on your doorstep were such an added bonus especially for my kids, they loved it.

We stayed at Khumbula and we found it Great place to get away from it all - the pics don't lie. Everything was just as it is and the accommodation was excellent and so too were the Helpers. On the negative side are the Check-In & Checkout times. I travel alot and have found the norm at SA Hotels/GuestHouses is that Guests Check-in at 2pm and Check-out between 10 - 11am. The downside of Khumbula is not only is there a later Check-in of 2:30pm, but they expect guests to depart early by 9:00am. Not lekker for the price one pays to be there and given the norm at other Venues even at Marloth Park....

Had a great experience at Khumbula iAfrica, thanks! Were able to feed zebra and ostrich on our doorstep, watched 10 giraffe feeding from the surrounding trees and drinking water from the Khumbula waterhole a mere 10m from our braai area! The facilities are great (aircon's a must at this time of year..splashpool a life saver) and the staff are friendly and kept the place very tidy during our stay. Truly a place to remember as stated on your welcoming sign! we'll definitely be back.
