About Ihophe Cottage
Nestled in the peaceful Central Drakensberg, you will find Ihophe Cottage. The double-storey, thatched cottage boasts unrestricted views of Champagne Castle, Dragons Back, Cathkin Peak and Sterkhorn.
The cottage sleeps six guests in three double rooms and has a well-equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge with a TV. You will need to bring your own DStv smartcard. Braai facilities are available.
There are some lovely hikes in the area and Bushmen caves and paintings are not far away. A falconry farm is close by with regular displays and trout fishing at the Bell Park Dam is a populqar actiity. Several good restaurants are situated in the valley, as well as a number of interesting curio shops. There are also helicopter flights available in the area. An 18-hole golf course is situated at the Sports & Racket Hotel.
The world famous Drakensberg Boys Choir is a stone’s throw away; regular concerts are held on Wednesday evenings in the school auditorium during term. Enjoy the complete peace of the moody mountains, the brilliant starry skies at night, the wonderful bird life, summer storms and winter snows. Why not pay a visit to this beautiful World Heritage Site, a holiday memory that will last you a lifetime.
