Amazing quiet relaxing place. Can't wait to go there again. If you are looking for a quiet place in the bush to go and relax then Guernsey is the place to go.

A comfortable and very well-kept chalet in beautiful and peaceful surroundings. We received a very friendly welcome by Henriette and her team despite our late arrival. The fireplace in the lapa is situated on the ground, rather than in a "built-up" braai area. We always prefer it this way (on the ground) as it becomes a far better "Kuiergat". The property has good birdlife and abundant game. We are really glad we found and stayed at Guernsey Breakaway Chalets. Warm and kind hosts, peaceful stay, just what we needed. The chalets are not 5 star bush lodges but they do provide everything you need for a very nice stay. Walking around in the bush surrounded by game was a treat. We stayed 2 nights and will be back again in October. Very enjoyable.

I spent with 3 friends of mine a night in the Giraffe chalet, and I really wish I had had some more time in this lovely place. As soon as we arrived we were welcome by a giraffe drinking in front of our terrace and we could have a very pleasant walk in the forest near by. The chalet itself was simple but more than enough. Our host Henriette was most welcoming and helpful.

Looking for a family friendly bushveld retreat? Look no further than this establishment.  Guernsey Breakaway Chalets has been pleasant  for my family on our weekend retreat from 10 to 12 April 2015. My kids had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the bushveld and exposure to the animals especially wildlife on the property. Thank you to Henriette van Niekerk and her Family for the wonderful hospitality. God bless. Conrad Hlangwini - Witbank
