The place is dirty, smelly and a bit hideous for my liking. Even my kids didn't approve of it. The stove (and of course the oven) was so sticky it was disgusting. No microwave. Only 2 pots provided and the one was leaking. The showers don't drain the water properly so there is always stagnant water in the 'basin' unless one goes through the trouble of wiping the shower. And oh my word the hand basin is a story for another day.One day there were showers and the veranda was soaking wet because the roof is dilapidated and leaking. However on a lighter note the place is quite affordable if you are...

The flat and entire surroundings was dirty.  Smelled bad.  Big cockroaches.  The showers are hideous!  Rubbish in and around the "inn"  poor water pressure.  air-conditioning didn't work.  Oven was so filthy it was disgusting.  The place is run down, please do not spend money here we paid R12 000 (week) for the worst experience ever. Beach in front of the lagoon is not clean! That is an utter lie. The owners are friendly yes, but friendly does not cut it when you are paying hard earned money  I am very sorry!

Carioca Inn is definitely worth recommending! The hosts are very helpful with any queries and willing to assist in any way possible. The rooms are very nice and tidy with plenty of space. The bathrooms are spacious with a large shower. The rooms also have private access to the lagoon and the beach transfers pic you up right in front of Carioca Inn. This was a holiday I'll never forget!
