About Artemis Barn Cottages

Artemis Barn Cottages is located a mere 10-minute walk from the village of Franschhoek, South Africa's food and wine capital. Enjoy the peace, magnificent mountain views and koi ponds set in an indigenous garden.

We offer two self-catering cottages where you can walk our labyrinth or just enjoy the rooms with soft murals and mosaic bathrooms. Our gardens are full of sculptures, birds, wildlife and even the occasional chameleon.

Come for a weekend or a week and enjoy the views, the peace and tranquillity. Picnic in the evening light at the top dam with exquisite views over the mountains, have a braai under the starlit sky, or just sit and relax.

We stayed at Artemis Barn Cottages for a weekend whilst exploring Franschhoek and the surrounding area. The cottage is beautiful and spacious. It is also well-equipped, neat and clean. We had a lovely time.

We arrived at Artemis late on a Sunday evening after spending the weekend at a festival. We where warmly welcomed by Kobus who showed us around this tranquil place. We made good use of the Dam by having a late evening swim underneath a starry lit sky and again in the cool of the morning. This was the highlight of my stay. The place is better than the pictures and the beds are super comfortable with the most freshest linens. I cant wait to go back.

We really enjoyed our night at Artemis Barn Cottages. We received a warm welcome and were shown around by Kobus on arrival. The Cottage was very clean and neat with pinch of added quirkiness. Kobus encouraged us to make full use of the facilities and to leave as late as we liked the next day. His relaxed attitude meant we certainly left feeling well rested and relaxed! Thanks Kobus & Andrea, Kind Regards, Steve & Megan, Fish Hoek, Cape Town.
