About Akkedisberg Cottages

Akkedisberg Cottages is nestled in the valley of the Klein Rivier, 10 km outside of Stanford village on the Fynbos Route in the Overberg. We offer comfortable accommodation in five Self-catering Cottages, three Family Cottages and 10 large Double En-suite Rooms on a bed-only basis.

Old meets new in our 100 year old barn, which has been artfully converted into a modern conference centre.

The prestigious future thinking and sustainability festival 'Freewheeling' was conceived at Stanford Valley and is held here annually in late summer. For three days, some of South Africa’s leading thinkers, economists, scientists, artists and environmentalists convene here to share and dialogue their latest ideas with hundreds of festival guests.

Good value for money. I was impressed with the beautiful, spacious clean room. Crispy linen and lovely views. I can highly recommend this to anyone else in the wedding industry who needs a room for the night.

What an absolute pleasure! I have found my home away from home. Peaceful, safe, and Michael, Esme and their daughters are extremely friendly and accommodating. Wonderful for kids!
