About Aanhuizen Guest House

Aanhuizen Guest House lies at the foot of the Langeberg mountains in Swellendam. We are 2 hours from Cape Town and 2 hours from George. Swellendam is the 3rd oldest magisterial district in South Africa.
Swellendam forms part of the Cape-Overberg meander. Overberg means 'over the mountain' The journey to the 'Overberg' three centuries ago was a bone crunching one by wagon - but well worth it for the hospitality and warmth you received from the people of the Overberg. It is truly a haven of peace & tranquility.
Enjoy our old fashioned South African hospitality in this superior Guest House. Tom & Olwyn, your hosts will make you welcome. This is the ideal place to relax as you take in the stunning unspoilt views of the Langeberg mountains. With plenty to do and see in Swellendam be sure not to cut your stay too short.
All our rooms offer percale cotton bedlinen, soft fluffy towels and are en-suite with separate entrances for peace and privacy.
A delicious breakfast is served next to the swimming pool or on the lawns in summer.
Allow us to make your stay in Swellendam an unforgettable experience.

The host's were inviting and helpful with things to do and restaurants to try.Rooms were comfortable and cool during the hot days and evening's. Breakfasts had enough variety and the omelettes  tasty. The guest house is close to many restaurants and one of many hiking trails. We will definitely be back to stay there again, when we return to Swellendam.
