Hout Bay Hout Bay
Suburb of Atlantic Seaboard South

Seaside village of Hout Bay
Nestling amidst majestic mountains and close to some of the best bathing beaches in the world, the seaside suburb of Hout Bay is a modern fishing village just 20 min from Cape Town CBD and the V&A Waterfront. Considered an exclusive holiday destination, Hout Bay offers a variety of shops, restaurants, galleries and places of interest. Picturesque mountain walks and hikes, the working harbour, boat trips, the Sunday flea market on the village green and weekend Craft Markets at the water's edge attract both local and internationals. The World of Birds, one of the largest bird parks in Africa...

Parys Parys
Town of Northern Free State

Hank Bezuidenhout on Parys
Parys is a friendly and relaxing town with interesting shops. Good quality restuarants and coffee shops. Plenty of good accommodation to choose from in town as well as out of town.Negative point is the closure of Vredefort Dome World Heritage Site and no signs or notice that it is closed. Also the suspension bridge is in a shocking state and is not worth the visit. Should update all tourist info regarding this.Besides these two points, still Well worth a trip to Parys.

Bulawayo Bulawayo
Town of Bulawayo Province

Historic and friendly
Bulawayo is the greatest city in Zimbabwe with beautiful gardens, good shopping and comfortable accommodation. The World Heritage listed Matobo Hills and Khami ruins and Chipingali Wildlife Sanctuary are but a few of the great, easily accessible attractions on its doorstep.

Colesberg Colesberg
Town of Upper Karoo

Convenient Stopover in need of some TLC
Colesberg is a very small little town located conveniently in the middle of the Karoo and is a great stopping point betwen JHB and Cape Town. It has about 3 or 4 restaurants that are resonable, fuel stations, lots of B & B's and not too much else. They have a few old and historic buildings, some of the residents have been painting and fixing up the old houses which is great to see, and we enjoyed our little walk around the town. The town, like most of the rest of South Africa, could use some major litter control, and was a real shame seeing the state of some of the parks which had rubbish all...

Sodwana Bay Sodwana Bay
Town of Zululand

Sodwana Experience
World class fishing and diving venue, but the towntainted by an ineffective municipality that thinks that itIs acceptable to international and local visitors toAllow trash to litter the town and park, and Parks officials that blatantly allow touts and beggars Into 'guarded' areas , harassing motorists and lowering security and the 'experience', whilst official guards Look on ! Sad deterioration... World Heritage Site, but not onshore

Muizenberg Muizenberg
Suburb of South Peninsula

Awesome surf town
What a great place to learn to surf - the waves are pretty consistent - they just keep rolling in. On weekends it's pretty busy, but there always seems to be room for everyone. I was there when they were trying to break the Guiness World Book of records for most surfers on a wave, don't think they made it, but what a great vibe.
