Nestled on the banks of the Kwando River in the Eastern Caprivi, Camp Kwando invites you to come and explore the beautiful treasures of an untamed land. We offer various accommodation types such as Island Tents, Camp Sites and Tree Houses. The island boasts 12 thatched tents, each one with two beds. All beds have mosquito nets. Built on poles with a deck overlooking the river, these bungalows will allow you to do some fishing from the deck. The thatched roofs guarantee good thermal regulation, not too hot in the summer and not too cold in the winter. Every tent has an outside shower with a canvas roof over, en-suite bathroom with shower to enjoy the surrounding nature. Electricity is provided at key times by a generator and the bathrooms are lit by way of paraffin lights. The campsites are situated between the main building and the island. The surface is covered by grass and beautiful trees provide shade during the hotter hours of the day. The facilities provide showers with hot and cold water, toilets and basins, as well as a place to do your laundry. Four larger chalets on stilts/tree houses are also available on higher ground; the poles are made of wood and canvas along with thatched roofs. Conveniently placed in the middle of the trees, they allow for a beautiful view of the Botswana plains. Each tree house has a large and stylish bedroom, en-suite bathroom, as well as an expanding deck. When the excitement of the bush wanes, between game drives and swamp boat trips, our swimming pool is there for use - filtered and clean.

Facing the snow-capped peaks of Kilimanjaro and the endless African savannah, Kambi ya Tembo offers fantastic views. The camp consists of 20 tents, each with private en-suite bathroom facilities. Sit and watch the natural world pass by from the ample sun decks. The semi-arid land of Sinya and Elerai offers an abundance of natural riches and is home to some of the largest elephants in East Africa. Sinya, a private concession of about 600 square km, bordering Kenya at Amboseli National Park, offers spectacular landscapes with magnificent views of Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, Ol Doinyo Longido and Ol Doinyo Orok. It is one of the few areas in Africa where huge elephant bulls, more than 50 years old, carrying tusks of considerable size, are regularly seen. These bulls, some of them living permanently in the zone together with herds of mothers and calves, used to migrate between the swamps of Amboseli National Park and the Acacia woodlands of the other side of the border in search of water and food. Most of them have been monitored by Cynthia Moss in Amboseli for more than 25 years, and form one of the healthiest and most balanced elephant populations of the whole African continent. Masai bomas are sparsely scattered in Sinya, with a total population of no more than 2,000 people living in a huge area. These Masai are still living the traditional way and are not used to the commercial relationship with tourists that is common in more visited areas. They are spectacularly dressed, follow all the traditional ceremonies, and are very friendly. We have been able to develop a privileged relationship with them, and this Community Conservation Project benefits the Masai of Sinya. Activities include game drives in open vehicles, walking safaris escorted by Masai warriors, and interaction with the local Masai including participation in ceremonies, if available.

Kapamba Bushcamp is a remote and romantic camp situated in a prime location on the Kapamba River. It is the only bush camp to be open from April to January. Situated in a remote corner of the South Luangwa National Park, the camp combines isolation and superb game viewing opportunities of a true bush camp with a touch of luxury. The charm and romance of Kapamba is most obvious in its four spacious en-suite Chalets. Cool, simple and utterly original, these entirely open-fronted rooms boast wide verandahs with river views, twin showers and sunken stone plunge pools. Clever wrought-iron shutters are drawn each evening so that you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the African night without worrying about unwanted visitors wandering into your room whilst you sleep. Two of the Chalets have queen-size beds, while the other two have king-size beds. Set on the banks of the shallow and spring-fed river, Kapamba is surrounded by some of the park’s richest wildlife. Watching an elephant take a dip in the river can be quite an experience when you’re lounging in your own private plunge pool. The central bar and dining room is positioned under a huddle of matumi and sausage trees, with a wide deck that stretches out with views of the Kapamba River. Enjoy your sundowner from the middle of the river itself, with your feet dipped in the cool and crystal clear shallows.
