Our unique guest house compliments a combination of indoor and outdoor living at its best and offers you expected luxury services with a family atmosphere. White House Lodge, situated 5 km from White River in Mpumalanga, offers seven en-suite rooms, one luxury cottage and one two-bedroom self-catering cottage with a private lounge, a dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. All units are equipped with TVs with DStv. Guests have access to a huge swimming pool with a lapa area and a boma, a dining room, a lounge with a bar, two terraces, laundry and ironing services. Guests may also make use of the telephone, fax and Internet. We are the perfect place from which to explore White River and its surroundings. It is a 30-minute drive to the Kruger National Park - Numbi Gate. The Panorama and scenic route starts in White River and stretches to Blyde River Canyon, God’s Window, Pilgrim’s Rest and numerous waterfalls. Arts and crafts, curios and local artists are on display are there are only a small selection of activities in the Lowveld. You can reach White River’s 18-hole Championship Golf Course in approximately 10 minutes; it is 8 km to the new Kruger-Mpumalanga International Airport and 20 km to Nelspruit – the capital of the Mpumalanga Province. It is also only 80 km from Swaziland and 120 km from Maputo, the capital of Mozambique. When night time falls, we treat you to a sumptuous dinner offering traditional meals, German and Turkish specialties, or dinners on request, combined with a selection of South African wines. We offer different tours around the Panorama and scenic drive, to Kruger National Park where night drives can be organized, and also other places and sights on request. Petra Mountain Retreat and Conference Centre is a Christian Retreat Centre nestled on the Ridge of Legogote Mountain in the scenic Lowveld, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding flora and fauna. The double en-suite bedrooms contain two very comfortable beds, two desk/dressing tables with good lights and two chairs. There is ample cupboard space, as well as a kettle and tea and coffee tray. All the bedrooms are non-smoking rooms. Please note a maximum of two children per room, under 12, is allowed. Pets are not allowed. There are venues to choose from for the perfect function. The thatched Lapa can accommodate up to 70 people is set separately but next to the main building and rooms, and is an ideal location for conferencing and training, where concentration is enhanced by the lack of distraction. The Lapa has a data projector that must be pre booked, a white board and a flip chart. There is another smaller Conference Room inside the building that can accommodate 25 people. The dining room comfortably seats up to 50 guests and is an excellent option for conferences and training courses, as well as for the more lavish banquet type of evening. The outside veranda offers al fresco dining with a view, braai area and a swimming pool. Guests can also have a relaxing cup of tea or coffee in the comfortably furnished lounge with large stone surround fireplace. Free Wi-Fi is available in the Lounge. Telephone, fax, and email facilities are available at reception. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner can be pre booked 24 hours in advanced at an additional cost from Monday to Fridays. The kitchen is closed on weekends, except for group bookings. We cater on a Full Board basis for group bookings. A self-catering kitchen is available at an additional cost per day, and is subject to availability at the time of making the booking. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge with small freezer, a microwave and a two-plate stove. Guests can make use of the braai area, but please bring your own wood, charcoal, firelighters as well as cutlery and crockery or picnic basket. Petra Mountain is conveniently situated a mere 15 minutes’ drive from the Kruger National Park, 14 km from Numbi Gate, 30 minutes from Nelspruit, 10 minutes from White River, and 20 minutes from Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. This is a great stopover on the way to the Kruger National Park as well as a great venue for conferences, retreats and more. Day trips for a minimum of six people can be booked to the Kruger Park and scenic day trips for a minimum of six people can be a booked; please note these bookings need to be made in advance.

With its easy access to many places of interest, the lodge is the perfect home base for exploring the many great sites of the area. This lovely old thatched farmhouse is set in a ten hectares of peaceful garden and with a magnificent view of the Legogote Mountain “The Lion Head”. Seringa lodge is known for its fine cuisine. Cecilia is from Sweden and did her professional chef training in America and thereafter worked at numerous well-known restaurants in the USA, Sweden and South Africa. In 1999 Cecilia was offered a position as the Catering and Camp Manager in one of the most exclusive camps in Botswana. In 2004 Roger and Cecilia opened Seringa Lodge. Our breakfasts and dinners are guaranteed to delight the most refined palate. Garden fresh vegetables and fruit are used as much as possible. The meals can be enjoyed either in the tastefully decorated dining area, the beautiful garden or in the traditional African Boma. Roger Briggs is our experienced resident guide available to introduce you to all the treasures of the Lowveld Owner Cecilia and Roger Briggs have with their combined knowledge, and experience created a stylish and homely lodge.
