Western Cape Reviews
Town of Helderberg
A Gem in False Bay
A wonderful place in the Western Cape that has mostly escaped commercialisation. A sense of the old cape magic prevails.

move to George?? yes- no ??
Well I do not have an review abot George,..but lots of questions. I have travelled through George 100 times on my way to Knysna, as my brother live there and previously I worked there. It always was my dream to move to Knysna. BUT lately I have read the statistics on the crime in Knysna and second-doubt my dream. I live in Gordonsbay on the coast and feel like I need a change. I have read good things about George.I LOVE forest,.mountains, nature living...hiking and all outdoors fun. I prefer to live in quiet,..peacefull,..trangquil area preferably in nature area....I am a English Tutor,...see more
Town of Cape Winelands
What a cool place
Just completed a 3-week multi-stop vacation in the southern Western Cape, with Franschoek being our non-ocean 3-day retreat a midst mountain views to die for. The town is relaxed with a very safe feeling. We went mainly for culinary experiences which ranged from casual to very upscale, but always totally awesome. Did not disappoint.
Suburb of South Peninsula
Muizenberg is very central to all areas of Western Cape, with outstanding scenery and locations ideal for tourists. The service in restaurants and the food were excellent everywhere. Will be going back again soon.
Town of Overberg
There's really not much to recommend here. I suppose some people would find it 'charming', but so are dozens of other Western Cape towns. This one seems stuck in a greater time warp than most. Move on.
Town of West Coast
We were on route from Kleinzee, Northern Cape to Brackenfell, Western Cape and got recommended to go to Paiters Grill in Vredendal for dinner. We were 8 people and ordered a variety of meals. My husband was impressed by the waiter who came and told him that the Chef is not pleased with the sirloin and rather recommended the rump because the sirloin he had was not so tender. The service was excellent and the meal on each plate was enormous for the price. Quick and friendly service. We will visit again.
