About Walvis Bay Lagoon

Home to Great and Lesser flamingos, Damara terns, pelicans, avocets and numerous migrant water birds, the Walvis Bay Lagoon is one of the richest and most important wetlands in southern Africa. Whales and dolphins occasionally enter the lagoon, and can often be spotted in the ocean from the lagoon. The promenade is lovely for walking or jogging.
