We would like to assure guests that despite the drought conditions we have an adequate water supply for our guest as we have a borehole on the property. Lazy Likkewaan offers affordable and comfortable self-catering accommodation in the scenic Free State village of Smithfield. There are three well-appointed units, of which all have en-suite bedrooms and living areas. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen available for all your self-catering needs. All units also have their own private patios with built-in braai facilities and outdoor seating. The village of Smithfield has many cultural attractions including Smithfield Books and Fresh Paint gallery. The Laughing Likkewaan Restaurant is just a short walk away from the units. Guests can expect delicious food and a delightful dining experience. Appreciate not only the Free State sunrise every morning, but also the stunning mountain views that can be seen from anywhere on the property. An additional person will pay R150.00 per person.

The Fox Den is ideally situated 3 km off the N1 in the town of Trompsburg, 150 km north of Colesberg and 120 km south of Bloemfontein. The position is wonderful for anybody wishing a relaxing stop over when travelling between North and South. The Fox Den has nine self-catering units that can comfortably accommodating two to six guests respectively per unit. Eight of the units have showers in and the nineth unit has a bath in the unit. The kitchens of the three self-catering units are fully equipped, three of the units are equipped with a TV in each unit with Multi-choice decoders only the complimentary channels are available you are able to bring your own smart card. Four of the units are equipped with ceiling fans and the rondawels is equipped with a free standing fan for the summer, heaters and electric blankets are supplied for the winter months as well as complementary sherry. All linen and towels are supplied. Came and enjoy our starry nights with a pleasant fire going and lovely piece of Karoo lamb; braai packs are available on site, or visit one of the two restaurants in town or the bakery just up the street. Breakfasts are supplied in the form of a health breakfast that consists of muffins/cocktail buns, yogurt, cereal, muesli and juice. Complimentary coffee and tea are supplied in the units Facilities available: Save Parking on-site, private entrance, tea and coffee-making facilities in unit, television in unit, braai/barbecue onsite, braai packs order beforehand, hunting less than 30 km, fully equipped kitchen and pets allowed.

We offer guests a comfortable stay in a self-catering house or two self-catering units. The units are furnished with double or single beds and are equipped with TVs with DStv access, as well as tea and coffee facilities and a heater for those chilly days. Some of the rooms are en-suite and consist of a bath or a shower. Each unit has a kitchen that is equipped with a two-plate or gas stove, a microwave oven, as well as a fridge. Braai facilities are available. Guests can enjoy dinner in front of a log fire during those long cold winter nights, relax in the garden in summer or enjoy a drink at the bar. Rouxville offers guests a variety of attractions and activities like river rafting, mountain biking, hiking, fly-fishing and birdwatching with Breakaway Trails just outside of town. Guests can also visit the old train station and trekker museum in town. Bushman drawings can be viewed on a farm nearby and guests can also go on a 4x4 trail.

The original Sand Stone, built as a "semi" some 80 years ago, was converted and became home to Rouxville General Dealers, where one could buy anything and everything - Coal for the Aga, Butterick Dress Patterns, Fancy Wall Paper, or Bicycle Spares. The shop closed down in the early 90's and the building stood empty for some time.
