St Francis Bay Reviews

Beautiful little town
It's just the place to get way from the hustle of everyday life. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility of St Francis Bay. Visiting the lighthouse and seeing the penguins were a great experience.

Memories are made of these....
The St Francis area consists of St Francis Bay Port St Francis, Cape St Francis and Oyster Bay. Situated halfway between Port Elizabeth and Knysna a short distance away from the N2 it offers a peaceful tourist getaway in unspoilt surroundings. As a tourism mecca in the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa it offers a wide variety of accommodation options and things to see and do. Apart from it's scenic beauty the area offers a navigable river, canal system, harbour, golden beaches, ideal surfing conditions and is therefore a water sports mecca. Forget the big city waterfront crowds. The comme...

Cycads on Sea Guest House
St Francis Bay is a magnificent up-market village, unique in that the architecture with its aesthetic uniformity blends in harmoniously with the green of the indigenous vegetation that surrounds it. Charming white-walled homes with thatched roofs lining the canals of the Marina give way to Mediterranean styled homes with warm terracotta tiled roofs, wrought iron balconies, and attractive arches.Luxury apartments encircle the turquoise waters of Port St Francis which boasts several restaurants. An impressive array of leisure boats and yachts as well as the colourful calamari fishing fleet provi...

Eastern Cape's Gem
St Francis Bay is a wonderful coastal village with the emphasis on the outdoors. Mountain-biking, fishing (deep sea; river, surf),canoeing, swimming, surfing, boat cruises (canals, river, deep sea). World class and local golf course. Cape St Francis Lighthouse, which is a National Monument and penguin rehabilitation centre. Horse riding. Nearby Game reserves. Variety of great restaurants (Greek, Italian, Fine-dining, Seafood).

Lovely enclave
St Francis Bay is a lovely spot with walks to the point, good beaches, golf courses and sufficient shops to avoid leaving for a week. The restaurants at the Port are good and varied.Fishing is available at the port but water sport requires a 30km trip to Jeffery's Bay

A relaxing destination
St Francis Bay is a gorgeous place to stay for a relaxing holiday. There is not that much to do or see besides the beautiful beach; there are not many options for eating out, but if you want to sit on the veranda and drink a glass of wine, and go to the beach, it is the perfect place to relax.
