About Erawan Shrine

The Erawan Shrine contains a statue of Phra Phrom, the Hindu creation god. Built in 1956, its purpose was to eradicate the bad karma of the Erawan Hotel. Today the shrine is a popular tourist spot, and often hosts Thai dance troupe performances.
