We have some very interesting wildlife species with the likes of kudu, zebra, giraffe, impala and warthog roaming around freely and ending up on your doorstep. For feather fanatics, we also have a wide variety of bird life. Our four chalets each consist of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a fully equipped kitchen with a microwave, lounge, patio and braai area. There is satellite TV in the bar and restaurant. Enjoy air-conditioning in all of our buildings and take pleasure in our à la carte restaurant, fully licensed bar, swimming pool and boma area. Centrally located, the lodge servers as a base from where you can reach Swaziland, Mozambique and the Kruger National Park. We also cater for conferences. Listen to the Fish eagles calling as you unwind in secluded and spacious African thatched rondavels. Soak up the warmth of the sun around the pool or pamper yourself in the sauna. Each rondavel is privately set in a subtropical garden and features its own kitchenette, veranda and barbecue area. The Honeymoon Rondavels also offer air-conditioning, private spa baths and views over the garden, mountain and dam. The rooms adjoin the main house, and each has a lounge area with a TV, a bathroom en-suite, air-conditioning and a kitchenette. The rooms offer two separate entrances, one entrance is close to reception and the other is set in a private courtyard with barbecue facilities. The Sunbird Room also has a small room containing a double bunk bed and its own toilet and basin. A full English breakfast is served on the veranda and should you wish to make an early start for the Kruger National Park, a packed breakfast will be provided. Idle & Wild is ideally situated for a rejuvenating break in the heart of nature, or exploring the surrounding areas such as Kruger National Park, God's Window, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Pilgrims Rest and the many waterfalls. Situated around a central courtyard, each room has a private entrance and verandah, with pristine indigenous trees surrounding the lodge. The open end features a swimming pool with views right across to the Kruger National Park, while the west view takes in the Drakensberg and foothills from Long Tom to the three rondavels, and up the Sabi River Valley. The two buildings on each side of the courtyard accommodate two spacious bedrooms, each with private bathroom, entrance, and verandah. The lodge is located on 33 hectares of the most diverse and unspoiled indigenous bush, offering outstanding bird life. We also have two wonderful Great Dane dogs; their size might be intimidating, but they absolutely adore our guests and are extremely lovable and friendly. The camp offers various types of accommodation on a self-catering basis, but breakfast and dinner can also easily be arranged on request. The camp consists of two luxury tents, each with an en-suite bathroom, verandah, gazebo, and braai area. There are also three safari tents with outdoor bathroom, verandah, gazebo, and braai area. Another small tent is provided for children or a third guest. There are lights in all the tents that work with batteries and we can charge your camera or cellphone batteries for you. Calao Tented Camp is perfectly located ten minutes from the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, 30 minutes from the Kruger National Park's Orpen Gate, and 30 minutes from Swadini in the Drakensberg. There is easy access from the R40 but the last kilometer on the property is a dirt road and can sometimes be a difficult drive.

Rustic Butler is perfectly situated in a residential area of White River. We are within reach of the Kruger National Park, Blyde River Canyon and the warm waters of Maputo, yet at the same time are very close to the lively city of Nelspruit.
