Description
Exploring Kruger National Park on a self-drive safari is something you have to experience at least once in your lifetime. To get the most out of your Kruger road trip, drive slowly and allow plenty of time to get from the Entrance Gates to the Camp Gates.
Kruger Gate opening and closing times depend on the seasons and differ from those of the Camps. The main camps have petrol stations and Skukuza, Letaba and Shingwedzi also have workshop facilities. The speed limit is 40km on dirt roads and 50km on tar roads, but it’s best to allow more time for sightings and delays. Our guide to travelling times is based on driving at 25km per hour.
