Hole in the Wall Reviews
Iconic feature of the Wild Coast
Hole in the Wall or izi Khaleni" in Xhosa, which means "place of thunder" is situated just South of Coffee Bay on the Wild Coast. To the Xhosa people, it's formation is shrouded in mystery and legend, but it was most likely shaped by the Mpako River, which flows out through the hole and into Indian Ocean. The surrounding rocky ledges are a fisherman's paradise and the beach is a licensed launch site for boats. The unspoilt beaches, richness of the Xhosa culture and prolific stars make it a fantastic spot for a holiday.
