Heather's B&B and Self-catering accommodation is located within walking distance of historical Graaff-Reinet. Arrive as a stranger, depart as a friend and return as a regular. Barry and Heather Vorster welcome you at Heather's. We offer three comfortable units. Each unit is separate with their own private entrance. All bedding, towels and toiletries are supplied. During the winter months there is an electric under-blanket on all of the beds and a heater in the sitting room. We have two cots available for babies. All units are non-smoking with an ashtray at the back door of each unit. All units are fully equipped for self-catering purposes and are supplied with tea, coffee, milk, sugar and rusks for morning refreshments. Guests can either enjoy a self-catering or a bed and breakfast option. Breakfast is served in the dining room of the main house. There is plenty of off-street parking, a fenced-in swimming pool, a play area for children and a free-standing braai area for each unit. Graaff-Reinet, the fourth-oldest town in South Africa, is recognized as the home of magnificent examples of Cape Dutch architecture, and over 220 heritage sites. The past is preserved in four extraordinary museums which hold collections of photographic memorabilia, firearms, artworks and fossils, tracing the story of the Karoo.

As the name of our establishment depicts, this is a team effort by Beau and Imelda to give top-class service to our guests and to ensure that they will remember their stay with us. Beau and I is situated in the heart of Graaff-Reinet, within walking distance of shops, restaurants, museums, and places of interest. A warm, relaxed ambience has been created with particular emphasis on comfort to make our guests feel at home. We offer comfortable accommodation set in a tranquil garden with a patio and barbecue area. Heaters and electric blankets ensure a cosy sleep during those cold winter nights, and two of the en-suite rooms also have air-conditioners. In summer, breakfast is served on the patio with its beautiful collection of plants. In addition, a bar fridge, a microwave oven, a toaster and a kettle are at the disposal of our guests for their convenience. Facilities include private entrances, linen and towels, toiletries, continental breakfasts, full breakfasts, tea and coffee with home-baked rusks, ice in summer, a fireplace, laundry and barbecue facilities, Wi-Fi and safe off-street parking. Our golf course, which is within 5 km of the town, is rated as one of the best 9-hole golf courses in South Africa. It is an oasis in the middle of the barren Karoo landscape and something that the true golfer must experience. Please note: Due to a technical error this accommodation is not self-catering regardless of what the add states.

As you enter this estate in the middle of Graaff-Reinet, the first thing that strikes you is the air of tranquility that pervades the grounds – a secure haven where you can leave your cares behind. Country Village is a place to unwind, get those kinks out after a long journey, and relax. It is an ideal place for an overnight stay or a short holiday, close to all the major attractions, schools, coffee shops and restaurants. Great care has been taken with each cottage to ensure every comfort and service, which only country-folk know how to provide. Various options are available; cosy cottages sleeping two or three guests, to larger cottages sleeping four to six guests. All are en-suite, serviced daily and fully equipped. Luxury air-conditioned suites are also available. Barbecue facilities are provided for those who enjoy relaxing around a fire with the sound of crickets and experiencing a meal under the Karoo night sky. Trackers Inn and the Barn House is a tranquil place with clean air and a beautiful view of the mountains. If you need peace and quiet this is the place to be. Town is within walking distance and there are restaurants, museums, a game park, a golf course and lots more in and around town. Nieu Bethseda with the Owl House, the beer brewery and other activities are only 50 km from town. All are welcome from young to old. There is a double bedroom with a single bed, a bathroom, a lounge with a TV, a microwave, a kettle and a bar fridge. This could be shared with a one or two single bedroom and a shower room. Each room has its own entry. The lounge has tea, coffee, sugar and powder milk and could separate or join the two rooms. The rooms have bedding and towels and there is safe off-street parking.

Allendale is a working livestock farm in the Eastern Cape, located in the beautiful district of Graaff-Reinet, the gem of the Karoo. By offering self catering, dinner bed and breakfast accommodation in our family unit, we make it possible for people from the city to enjoy the quiet of the Karoo. At quite a reasonable cost this is the ideal place to unwind & experience the vastness of the veld. Guests at Allendale have their own private entrance and shaded parking. The unit consist of a spacious double room and an open-plan lounge area with a kitchen. The lounge area also doubles up as sleeping space for two more people, children or adults alike. The en-suite bathroom consist of a spacious shower, a basin and toilet. The veranda area is ideal for just relaxing, or a braai while watching the sunset. Once you are at Allendale, you can enjoy the 10 000 ha of farm through going for short walks or for the more energetic, mountain biking in Jeep track or hiking into the mountains to name a few. The homestead and garden area gives lots of space for children to run around or enjoy the jungle gym and play area's. The brave and adventurous can enjoy a swim in our cement dam used mainly to irrigate the garden.

The cottages face each other across the shady quiet of one of the most picturesque streets of the town. Each cottage has its own private garden and all our beautiful rooms are air-conditioned and have en-suite bathrooms, white linen, DStv and flowers from our lovely garden. Our rate includes a full Karoo breakfast which consists of cereals, yoghurt, fruits from the orchard, our own free-range eggs, bacon and sausage. We have swimming facilities in our borehole-fed dam and secure off-street parking. We are right next to the nature reserve and nestled in the shadow of Spandau’s Kop. An easy walk leads you right into the best of Karoo nature. The town centre is a quick 10-minute walk away, where we can organise dinners at any one of our variety of good restaurants. More buildings were added on to the main dwelling in a U-shape, with a veranda and shutters. A beautiful garden was laid out and is filled with trees, roses, plumbago, lavender, bougainvillea, evening primrose, hibiscus, flowers and herbs. Birds, bees, butterflies and chameleons frequently visit the garden. Enjoy the smell of jasmine while sitting on the veranda. Somerset Stables is perfectly located in the most popular part of town, away from the hustle and bustle, yet within walking distance of shops, restaurants and schools. The large and comfortable en-suite bedrooms are stylishly decorated and include TVs and Persian carpets. A private entrance to the rooms ensures privacy, where you can enjoy peace, tranquility and comfort, and have time to reflect or meditate. There is safe under-cover parking for vehicles on the premises with a remote controlled security gate. In the main house you can enjoy a hearty breakfast from the farm-like kitchen.
