Rich in History
When the first "Gardens" were laid out to provide fresh fruits and vegetables to the passing ships the farm house, "Welgemeend", which is in excellent condition, was built on the lower slopes of Table Mountain. Central to the residential area is the "de Waal Park" a well maintained park with fountain, and hosts music concerts in the bandstand once a month in the summer!
