About Sierra Leone National Museum
Sierra Leone’s National Museum is located at the centre of Freetown under the branches of the city’s famous Cotton Tree. It was established to ensure the preservation of ancient and historical natural monuments, relics and items of archaeological, ethnographical, historical or other scientific interest. The Sierra Leone National Museum has a small but fascinating collection of 'juju' trinkets and historical artifacts, including Temne Guerrilla leader Bai Bureh's drum, clothes and sword.
