Sodwana is located in a reserve, under the KwaZulu-Natal Parks Board, and the entrance to the beach lies within the Reserve. Each beach house features two spacious bedrooms, and an extra tent can also be pitched if required. If peace and quiet is what you need to recharge, you will feel right at home here. Sit in the lounge and look out onto Mgobezeleni Lake, with the sea in the background. With a 270-degree view, you can enjoy lovely sundowners as well as sunrises. Our staff is known to us for about 20 years now, and are friendly and reliable. Their service is included in the quoted price, and DStv can be arranged for an additional fee. Ice is sold on the premises and there is a space where guests are able to clean fish, diving equipment and boats. Please note that for the Beach House the first four people will pay R220, each additional guest up to six, will pay half price. For the Flat, the first two people will pay R220 and the third person, will only pay half price. Hence we advise guests to request the appropriate tariffs. The main road through Sodwana to the beach is tarred. We are 2 km off tar, which can be travelled with any type of vehicle but low profile sedans, not recommended.

A Lovely two bedroom upstairs, self catering flat, with fully functional kitchen, bath and shower in bathroom, air conditioning, and DSTV. (DSTV is an additional R699 for the duration of the stay and is not included in the accommodation rate) This little piece of heaven is located in the Villa Mia complex in the middle of town, 3 minutes from the beach, and walking distance from everything in the town. This is a non- smoking unit. There is also a camp cot available for babies and toddlers on request. Note that St Lucia is experiencing water shortage, this means that some days you might have full running water all day long, other days, there might be water cuts, and you will be limited to only using water during certain times. This is a matter out of my hands, this is a St Lucia problem not just my unit.

The camps is located close to the southern shores of the Pongolapoort Jozini Dam, in the bird sanctuary part of the biosphere, and overlooks the western escarpment of the majestic Lebombo Mountains and the endless savannah woodland of northern Zululand. Accommodation is offered in self-catering Chalets and Safari Tents. Each chalet sleeps up to four guests, is air-conditioned, and equipped with a fridge-freezer, mini stove and oven, cutlery and crockery, linen and bath towels. The dam is also home to hippos, crocodiles and of course, the fighting tiger fish. The dam covers approximately 16,000 hectares, with a river stretch of approximately 5 km. Fishing takes place from boats and we support the catch and release method.

We are on the main road which is called McKenzie Street, but in a quieter part of town and we are within walking distance of all the shops, restaurants and amenities. We have four four-sleeper units, one five-sleeper unit and one two-sleeper. They are luxurious, air-conditioned log cabins which are fully serviced. Each unit has two bedrooms, a bathroom, an open-plan kitchen, a lounge and a private deck outside where guests can relax and enjoy the peace and tranquility while watching the magnificent African sunset. The resident louries, hornbills, hippos and crocodiles can often be seen. We also have a crystal clear pool for all the sun lovers to soak up the hot African rays while enjoying the picturesque view of the estuary and landscape. St Lucia was declared a World Heritage Site in December 1999. It is without a doubt one of the world's greatest destinations as it’s situated within a nature reserve and is surrounded by five distinct ecosystems; one of them being Lake St Lucia; the largest estuarine lake system in Africa which is home to over 800 hippos and 1500 Nile crocodiles.
