The Diplomatic Bar & Restaurant serves cuisine true to traditional South African foods with colonial influences. Only the freshest ingredients are used, making dishes extremely flavourful and tasty.

The restaurant boasts an open kitchen that offers guests views of the chef and the staff at work. The interior is colourful and the ambience warm and inviting.

Try proudly South African dishes like beef stew, chicken curry, lamb shank and 'pap', a porridge usually enjoyed as a side or as a base for stews. For the more adventurous, they serve 'pens', translated 'tripe' and the selection of game meat is beautifully prepared every time. A daily selection of braai (barbecue) dishes are available, adding to the authenticity and quaintness of this establishment.

The restaurant is situated in the heart of Cape Town and offers a dining experience not easily forgotten. The diplomatic Bar & Restaurant is open seven days a week from 10 am until 23 pm serving as the place to eat and socialize on any occasion.
