Erongo Plateau Camp is situated in the heart of the majestic Erongo Mountain range, near Omaruru. This is the gate to Damaraland, with the famous desert elephants or ancient Himba tribe in Kaokoveld. The campsite is small and secluded with four sites available, with clean ablution facilities equipped with hot- and cold-water showers and flushing toilets. Every campsite has a water tap and some shade. There is no electricity available or a shop, guests must bring their own camping equipment and food. The camp is within comfortable traveling distance to Swakopmund, Hentiesbay, Twyfelfontein, Etosha or even the capital city Windhoek. There are hiking trails situated in the mountains for the more adventurous. This area is best known for its mountain zebras. Sit back and relax in your camping chair while watching the waterhole on the lower plateau. This waterhole can be seen from each campsite and has solar light at night.

The lovely Standard Single Rooms and Standard Double Rooms are equipped with telephones, TVs, minibars and coffee and tea facilities. All the rooms have en-suite bathrooms with toilets and showers or bathtubs. For a little more comfort, the Superior Rooms have air-conditioning and heaters and TVs. Some Superior Rooms also have balconies. Rooms can also be reserved with connecting doors, ideal for families or small groups. Hotel Uhland's breakfast buffet is famous for the delicious fresh fruit salad, cheese and sausage platters, Namibian smoked meat, farm-made jam as well as a variety of bread and rolls. Fried or scrambled eggs and omelettes can also be prepared, and early departures can order a packed breakfast the day before. Tea and coffee is served in the afternoon. Dinner is on offer in the evenings, complimented with a variety of Namibian beers, South African wines and a selection of soft drinks. A separate computer is available in the lounge with Internet access or Wi-Fi for personal laptops as well as a small library and book exchange. The cosy bar is situated in the open-thatch lapa and the splash pool provides a welcome relief from the hot, afternoon sunshine. For small conferences or meetings, the breakfast room or the adjoining room can be placed at your disposal. An interesting part of the hotel's grounds is the spacious aviary with a variety of colourful love birds. The garden also attracts indigenous birds. Guests can visit the various museums, botanical garden or take a city tour, which will also lead you to the township, Katutura. For hiking trails, guests can visit the Aloe-Trail right in the city or the Dan Viljoen National Park, located 20 km outside the city. Come as a guest and leave as a friend.

The old colonial buildings (1909) have been carefully renovated and extended to keep the flair of the by-gone times. Adventure excellent cheetah and leopard drives and see about 15 different species of game and rich birdlife on the safari game drive. A early morning special mountain drive with different view points and the possibility to see the rare and endemic Hartmann mountain zebra is offered free if you stay two or more nights. Feel space, clean air and tranquility or enjoy four well marked walking trails or horseback riding. Enjoy a swim or the atmosphere around our big pool. We run and manage the farm in an environmental friendly way and participate in the Namibian eco award. In 2005 and in 2007 we got three and in 2008 we been awarded with four out five flowers. Except for one or two wilderness Lodges we are the only safari guest farm in Namibia with such a high rating. If your senses like the mix of historical flair, eco management, pure nature and space, conservation of rare and endangered species, adventure, personal service, individual people and a family atmosphere, than you should be our guest. This unique environment is home to a variety of animal- and bird species, and can be viewed at our waterhole while enjoying the beautiful sunsets. The rest camp provides the ideal stopover for a relaxed and peaceful stay, ideal for couples or families, as this is a child-friendly environment. Our restaurant is open daily and serves an a-la-carte menu with a range of meat dishes, as well as freshly baked cakes every day. Go on our ostrich and crocodile tours, where you can feed and touch the ostriches. We offer two Family Bungalows, a Two-bedroom Bungalow, a Double Bed Bungalow and a Self-catering Bungalow; all fully equipped and includes air-conditioning and safe parking in front of each bungalow. We also have three Backpacker Rooms, each with two single beds and shares the ablution facilities on the camping grounds. The Backpacker Rooms do not have linen, but this can be arranged on arrival. Monteiro lies in a beautiful setting surrounded by nature with wonderful views to the nearby Auas Mountains. Opened in 2005, Monteiro offers guests a choice of accommodation; chalets, campsites and safari tents. The guest chalets are equipped with twin beds and two bunk beds with a double bed in one of the chalets. These chalets have full, spacious en-suite amenities with a bath and shower in one room and a shower only in the other room. There are also a fridge, microwave, two-plate stove, TV and all the equipment needed to enjoy a self-catering stay. Private braai facilities are also provided. All the campsites enjoy lovely, well-maintained, grassy locations and each site has electric lights, running water, power points and braai facilities, for which wood can be purchased. There are also a communal kitchen and hygienic ablution facilities. The safari tents are equipped with the basic crockery, cutlery and electric kettle, but no cooking utilities. We supply the bedding and every tent has its own braai facility. There is also a lovely swimming pool for everybody to enjoy, and a laundry service can be provided on request. Our small kiosk sells ice cold cool drinks, chips, sweets, ice-cream, meat and all other delicious bites. At Monteiro you can feel the closeness of nature, and if fortunate enough, you might spot a kudu, oryx or Hartmanns mountain zebra. Bird-watching here is spectacular and you can also visit the only railway tunnel in Namibia, as well as all the attractions of Windhoek which are just moments away.
