Ntlokwe cottage is on a beautiful 8-hectare small holding that’s only a stone-throw out of the busy city life (30 - 45 minutes from Pretoria and 45 - 60 minutes from Johannesburg). The perfect weekend or holiday break away for you, your partner and/or family. A lovely two bedroom (double bed and single bed in each room), two bathroom wooden log house with a spacious living room and an open plan kitchen and adjacent washing area. The main bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and both rooms has spacious wardrobes. Sleeps maximum six adults and/or children. There is also undercover parking for 3 cars and the cottage is safely surrounded by electrical fencing. The house is spacious and very private and as a bonus it has a big garden and a broad veranda that’s overlooking the majestically Magaliesberg mountains. At the cottage you will have the privilege to enjoy beautiful sunsets while enjoying a braai in the outside boma. You will also have the chance to enjoy the bird- and wildlife from close-up. From the veranda or out of the kitchen window you will be able to spot impalas and an ostrich and at night you can listen to the jackals howling. We also have a few sheep inside the cottage fence to keep you company. The house is fully furnished, including bedding, hand towels and bath towels. The kitchen is well equipped and has a fridge, microwave, toaster, steamer, liquidizer, kettle and electric stove. Laundry facilities (washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and iron board) are also available in the cottage. Coffee and tea are provided. Ntlokwe cottage also has a communal outside swimming pool situated between the trees and in the bushes for an awesome bushveld feeling. We are only 15km away from the closest shopping centers, restaurants as well as abundant activities to keep you busy in and around Hartbeespoortdam. Krokodiloort Lodge offers a welcome retreat from the busy city life, set on the banks of the Crocodile River you will be able to relax in nature. The 7 km gravel road, on the way to the farm, will prepare you for the unspoilt beauty of nature; a way of clearing your head and ‘recharging your batteries’. There are three rooms next to the river. It is possible to rent one room at a time, but the setting is ideal for a weekend away for family and friends. The focus is on quality time in nature. There is an open-plan cement veranda connecting the rooms. The veranda ends right on the Krokodil River and with the spectacular mountains all around you, you will be sure to enjoy your break away. There is a communal get-together area, with a big fridge, kitchen sink, a cold bubble bath and a beautiful swimming pool. In addition, there is another cold shower and toilet. Braai facilities are also available. We are nature lovers and want to give the opportunity to friends and family to escape from the city. The rooms will not be serviced while you are here, and if you forget something at home, you will have to go to town. It is a rocky environment, so be sure to bring hiking shoes if you wish to go on a trail. There is plenty of bird life in the surrounding area including fish eagles, African grey hornbills, and a variety of kingfishers among others. Guests can also spot game, including giraffe, kudu, impala, blue wildebeest, waterbuck, zebra and red hartebeest. The game is relatively tame and regularly come down to the waterhole, close to the swimming pool, to drink.

In the evenings you may hear Jackal calling and when one is particularly lucky, you might see some hyenas and other small game. The accommodation is exclusive, private and caters for romantic couples. Couples have exclusive and private use of the Jacuzzi during their stay at Rondombos. The water is drained and the Jacuzzi is cleaned after every occupation. The chalet is well appointed with a four poster bed, fully-equipped kitchen and private bathroom. There is also full DStv, a DVD player as well as music and video. The braai area is enclosed and protected from most of the weather elements. The unit also has a private garden. Easy day drives to Maropeng, Pilansburg, Sun City, Rhino and Lion Park, Sterkfontein Cave, Harties, Rustenburg. There are many quaint shops and restaurants in Magaliesburg area. Magaliesburg is 20km from the farm. Activities on the farm include walking or hiking the game farm it is safe, there is a marked Forest Walk. Secluded bush pool overlooking the magnificent Magaliesburg Mountains. Picnic area etc. You can bring your mountain bike but rather leave the motorcycles at home the animals are used to people close to them and we would like to keep it that way. The fully self-catering accommodation on the farm is in the form of one Luxury Cottage the Loerie Cottage sleeps four to six people, Bush Camp for a real bush experience no electricity, solar powered, gas stove and warm water the Leopard Bush camp two cabins and rooftop tent sleeps four to six people and two Cabin Style Cottages the Sunflower Huts sleeps four. Note that the Bush Camp is in the bush and your luxury vehicle might not get there without having a tummy scratch. A Game drive is included in you stay if the driver is available. The first batch of firewood is provided thereafter you can purchase it from the farm. There is a resident Jack Russel on the farm and occasionally three very friendly over eager staffies. On day of departure you may stay until early evening if there is no booking for the following day.
