The magnitude of the falls is overwhelming. It is so big. Also visit Moonrock and Ararat. At Ararat, we walked up the hill, and had a clear view of the Augrabies gorge. It was very impressive.

Revisiting Augrabies
We were last at Augrabies 20 years ago and were struck by the wonderful improvements. The walk ways and viewing platforms allow one to fully appreciate the magnitude of the gorge and the falls. Well worth a revisit.

Augrabies is an awesome place especially when the falls are full. Lake Grappa has a ski school and they host skiing competitions and they were absolutely FANTASTIC!

Augrabies, 7 km away is a Nature Lovers paradise. Great walks and drives in what feels like an alien landscape. Magic!

Somewhere different
This area is mostly visited by tourists who have been to South Africa several times. Augrabies Falls is a highlight of the Northern Cape. This is a remote arid location with bizarre rock formations and the sixth largest waterfall in the world in an amazingly impressive gorge, makes the area an unmissable destination for those looking for somewhere a bit different.

'n Belewenis
Alhoewel die waterval nie groot was nie was dit nog steeds 'n belewenis om en die moeite werd om se ver te ry om die waterval te besoek

Visit in dry season
Must see, but if it is dry season - not much.

Hot air ballooning in Augrabies
Hot air ballooning is something everyone should do at least once in their lifetime. What a fantastic experience.

The Falls
The falls were not at their thundering best because the river was quite low. Never the less the views were impressive and access for viewing the falls are secure and safe . Suggest hats and sun cream .Definitely worth visiting .

Very good, although not in flood when we were there but was impressed by the park and friendly staff and cleanliness of the whole area. We stayed on the area as a stay over while on route to Langebaan touring through to Plettenburg Bay. So far good experiences.

Augrabies in flood
A wondrous place to visit with the water roaring down... I am glad we decided to take the 9 hour drive to see the river in flood. A once a lifetime experience.

Astounding Augrabies
What a truly amazing place to visit. To think that some people travel the world and haven't explored the wonders of our own backyard is a shame. The staff are friendly and efficient, the pathways and lookout points are great, and the falls itself, well you have to see that for yourself to appreciate its beauty and splendor

The whole area is beautiful and enjoyable even for kids, but you must have a car with aircon! Won't go camping there during summer time. The falls and all the other landmarks in the National park are absolutely stunning! The restaurant in the park has good food en friendly staff. But there are other areas worthwhile visiting they the Blueputz area ( vineyards) close to the orange River. Then the whole Riemvasmaak area is a must!Taste the grapes of the area, so sweet!
