Livingstone Livingstone
Town of Victoria Falls Livingstone Region

The Zambian side of Victoria Falls
The attraction of Livingstone is undeniably the Victoria Falls and the history of this beautiful place. The Zambian people are very welcoming and friendly, it was nice to be able to move about a small African town without being hasseled for money. It is basic with one shopping centre, our car hire at the airport was disappointing as our reserved car was rented to somebody else and the replacement wasn't good. The hotel was in a lovely position, although 5 star they didn't provide an airport shuttle service. Not much choice of restaurants to eat in in town but you are able to eat in other hotel...

Windhoek West Windhoek West
Suburb of Windhoek

Windhoek West Review
Windhoek West, as I enjoyed it from 14/12/2011 to 28/12/2011, is a masterpiece. I will live to cheerish my stay in this place of Africa. My wife, Miriam, and our kids, Mbita and Twataizya look forward to visiting this place again and again.I love your country. It is the best in Africa. I am speaking from the bottom of my heart. My wife and I have decided to even send our first born daughter, Mbita Asumani, to study in Nambia. She will be there in two years time. We are currently saving money for her.Hats off to Namibians. They are peacefull people. We felt at home the time we were there. We...

Plettenberg Bay Plettenberg Bay
Town of Rietvlei Bitou Valley

PlettenbergBay...The place to be
I have been visiting Plettenbergbay since the late 70's ans still find going there irresistable. Not only does the scenery inspire you to return year on year, but it is also the friendly people that makes a stay there worthwhile. I have made some friend there over the years and often feel like a local when visiting the many interesting places such as The Potter (my wife probably by now has shares in Rudi's business), Monkeyland, Old Nic's (Best breakfast spot) The Heath, Wolf Sanctuary, Elephant Sanctuary to mention a few. Plett boasts fine quisine and there are sufficient flyers at the info...

Prince Albert Prince Albert
Town of Central Karoo

Prince Albert Road
Most travellers rush past Prince Albert Road - big mistake! What appears to be a dusty little redundant railroad station is far from the truth. A report dated 1855, states that a coach trip from Cape Town to Vlakkraal, near Prince Albert Road Station, normally took 48½ hours. The coach stopped every eight hours for fresh horses. Transport riders were given precedence on the roads. A bugle was regularly sounded to warn other road users that they were coming. Vlakkraal was the coach stop on the main route to the north where travellers for Prince Albert disembarked. They were taken to Prince Albe...

Knysna Knysna
Town of Western Cape

Paradise Found!
Knysna is paradise on earth...offering such a diversity in vegetation from the forests to the lagoon, open skies and village atmosphere. One of my all time favourite holiday destinations and somewhere everyone would want to retire! Watersports abound, loads of great restaurants, families and friends can only be happy in this gorgeous patch of Africa.

White River White River
Town of Panorama Route Road Trip

A quaint town
My boyfriend and I do a trip every December to areas around South Africa. With Safarinow at my fingertips we decided to visit Mpumalanga with our first stop being the quiet little town of White River. Having never been there, driving through the sprawling city o Nelspruit, there was nothing better than driving into the small region of White River with it's clean streets and friendly folk. We stayed at a lovely place just outside town called Lyttle Irving. After crunching our way across the Macadamia nut shells, we were shown to our room, guided by the owner and her three friendly dogs. The...
