It was so great to have someone who genuinely cared that I was comfortable on my first night in South Africa. Li-Ann gave me a short tour of the property and showed me the procedure for opening and closing the gates for the car park. It was easy to find the property from JNB - I would guess it's about a 15 minute drive. Because of the 9 hour time difference, I woke up at 1 am and I drove back to JNB to exchange my rental car for a different model. The perfect base for cape town - or just relaxing!
The Patch was the perfect place to stay in Cape Town. Chris and Pat are the friendliest hosts I've encountered, gave us lots of advice and took an interest in our travels, including excellent restaurant recommendations and saved us a lot of time avoiding a road block! The house itself is beautiful, everything you need is there, it's a 5 minute walk to great bars and restaurants, and the pool is fantastic too.
