A must do for 1 time only
Very nice stay for a one time only. Wouldn't bother with a B&B again. Leave too early for Kruger to enjoy a hot breakfast. Wood stove in chalet not functional due to not having been inspected. The perfect getaway
We managed to secure a last minute booking at Toro Yaka and didn't really know what to expect. What we found is a lodge where you become friends with the hosts but you never feel that your privacy is being invaded. The lodge is very intimate and the attention to detail is great. Food and lodging is five star, and the game drives / walks are brilliant as they are flexible and are conducted by the owner, who is deeply passionate about conservation. There is a reason why Mkuze Falls has a 5 star rating, but personally speaking, I would sneak an extra half a star in if a could! The facilities were exceptional and the location and views were an experience in themselves. From the time we got there until the time we left, we felt like welcome "old friends".
