Zongwe is Zambia's largest commercial Nile crocodile farm, and one of the biggest in Africa. The crocodiles are bred on the farm for their meat and skins. Here you can view the breeder’s dam, home to very large crocodiles, some of which are over 5m long. Fascinating tours allow you to get up close to these prehistoric reptiles and understand what makes them so unique and adaptable. The crocodile's life is covered from the hatchery to 80 plus years of age. The natural dams are also of interest to bird watchers, home to nesting sacred ibis and resident fish eagles.
