Riemvasmaak is found between the Orange and the dry Molopo Rivers. It is about 57 km from Kakamas and 170 km from the Nakop border post with Namibia. The area is 75 000 ha of sheer mountain desert and wilderness. The landscape was formed by volcanic activity millions of years ago. Visitors can unwind in the hot springs with 80 m granite cliffs surrounding them. Two swimming pools are built at the hot springs, of which one has been shaped on a conversation pit.

Kalahari Seekoeibaard 4x4 is located on the Trans Boegoe Farm, 95 km from Witsand National Park. Witsand visitors were once permitted on the trail but it is now solely run by the farm. The farm is a close 50 km from Groblershoop. Seekoeibaard Trail is a dune trail with each dune having its own name. Do not be deterred by names such as Skrikduin, and Dikeetduin is the only shade you will see with a netting lapa and braai area. The route is a 28 km circular track, but a rocky road leads to the beginning of the track at Boegoe Berg Dam. The trail grading is between 2 and 3. Low range, high clearance vehicles are required on this self-drive track.

A moderate to difficult hiking route, the Klipspringer Trail takes you on a 3 day hike through the Augrabies Falls National Park. Each day is roughly 13 km long, and will take about 6½ hours to complete. The trail starts at a rest camp that must be booked previously. Hikers will relish the incredible views and the natural beauty of the area. Overnight accommodation is rustic, comprising bunk beds, mattresses and flush toilets. Braai facilities and wood are supplied. The trail is semi-arid, rugged and demands a fair degree of fitness. Note that the trail is closed from the 15 October to the 31st March every year, due to the extreme heat in the area.

Khamkarri offers four river-rafting experiences - full-day trips, half-day trips, nature paddles and rafting with a one-night camp along the river. All trips are headed by experienced and qualified guides. The full-day trip heads out on a 17 km trip with a lunch break. The half-day trips can be tackled either in the morning or afternoon and is 9 km long. Children from the age of five are permitted. The nature paddles are for the less adventurous and is about 3 km long. The overnight rafting experience is 15 km and ends with a camp along the bank of the Orange River. The trail is split into two parts; a 23 km sand dune trail and a 4 km mountainous trail. The trail’s difficulty grading is 3 and low range, high clearance vehicles are required. This is a self-drive route. The trail is open all year round but August is the best time to visit.
