Activities on the beach include a super tube waterslide, mini-golf, canoe hire (fabulous for leisurely trips up the lagoon), fishing, body board and surfboard hire. During peak season orbing and abseiling is also on offer.

Nature Reserves

Scottburgh (1.4 km from Greater Scottburgh Region) This is a 20 hectare strip of nature reserve along the banks of the Mpambinyoni River. It contains about 80 species of indigenous trees and several hundred which have been donated to the reserve.
There are also over 180 species of birds to be seen, including bushbuck, red duiker and banded mongoose. There are designated picnic and braai areas for visitors and every third Sunday of the month the reserve holds a 'Bring and Braai' where guests can listen to talks by various experts of different fields while enjoying some time out with family and friends.

This long, secluded stretch of soft, white sand beach is tranquil with few people and plenty of fish for catching. There are no lifeguards at Clansthal, but you can walk along the shore to the adjacent Green Point, a great surf break, or to Scottburgh for a swim. There are a number of nature reserves close by as well as the famous Oribi Gorge.

Visitors must be aware that the course grounds is not fenced and is thus open to the public.
