Directions from Gauteng to Mabalingwe Nature Reserve

-Take the NI highway towards Polokwane (Pietersburg)
-Take the Bela Bela / Settlers turn-off and turn left. Travel about 9km.
-At the first traffic light, turn right and then left at the next traffic light (shopping centre on left and 2 petrol filling stations in front of you)
-Follow the road as it makes a sharp turn to the right (there is a taxi rank on your left).
- Take the slipway to the left (Aventura forever Resort on your left)
-Travel until you get to a circle
-Take the first exit onto the R516 towards Thabazimbi
-Drive for about 28km and Mabalingwe Main Gate is on your Right

Directions from Mabalingwe Main Gate to Hippie lodge 227

-From the Mabalingwe Main Gate follow the tar road to Reception
-At a sign that indicates Shop, Kwalata Kamp, Ingwe Camp, Piri Camp, MCPA etc. turn right
-You will get a tree in the middle of the road – Tennis courts and Plaaswinkel/Shop on left and MCPA offices on your right – Keep straight
-You drive past Elephant lodge on the right
-Go over a low water bridge
-Drive 30m and turn right onto 1st dirt road on right (the sign shows 4x4 only)
-Drive about 100m and Hippie lodge 227 entrance is on the left.
