Sea Point is not far from the city centre but is private enough to enjoy quietness.

One of my favourite places in Cape Town to come as a family. You will always find a place to eat and drink along Beach Road, and the views are awesome. I highly suggest you park your car and take a nice walk along the promenade; they even allow bikes now.

What a fantastic place Seapoint is, it has some great resturants and the people are really so friendly. The views of the ocean and the mountains is stunning! The energetic love to walk or run along the prominade, its a great place for summer evening strolls. Seapoint is also close to the cbd and all the tourist places that any visitors may want to check out, a great place for anyone to stay, whether working in Cape Town or visiting on holiday. You can even see all the cruise liners coming in, what a treat to be there.

We stayed at a quaint Inn in Sea Point and we will always treasure our time there. From our Victorian balcony we could watch dawn creep across the sleeping city and reflect off the cargo ships resting at sea. The steep narrow streets were lined with picturesque homes and riotous coloured vines, the busy shopping street with many bars and restaurants and of course walks along the promenade in the cooler evenings. We drove many miles and saw many places in our nine days in CT and each night we were happy to return to Sea Point to rejuvenate and enjoy the sunset.

The Cosmopolotan mix of residents and visitors make for a vibrant atmosphere both day and night. The back drop of the wonderful Lion's Head and the grandeous Table Mountain create a stark contrast to the bustle of the hotel laden streets.
Then there is the angry sea, sometimes so tranquil but always secreting the hidden theat of an exciting Cape storm. Walking along the promenades you have a spectacular sea view on a clear day which includes Robben Island, a poigniant reminder of our past.

Conveniently central location in the hub of the Mother City, a leisurely jog away from the pictureque promenade and a hop skip and a jump away from Camps Bay! Definitely the place to stay on a quick getaway.

Argus and Sea Point go together like "love and marriage". This is such a super little part of Cape Town. The people are friendly and everything is just in reach. When we travel to Cape Town for the Argus cycle race, we always stay in Sea Point. It is convenient, beautiful, peaceful and the views of the mountain stunning.

To wake up in the early morning in summer, under the protection of Lions Head - jump out of bed and go walking or running along the prominade, is just the most exhilerating feeling and it stays with you for the whole day.
Sea Point is the centre of everywhere for Cape Town, Table Mountain, the Waterfront, Greenpoint..
It is near Bantry Bay, Clifton, Camps Bay on to Hout Bay and over Chapmans Peak on a drive that is spectacular..
Sea Point gives one a sense of peace and wellbeing.
No one can be lonely in Sea Point. People there are so friendly. It is nice and clean and well kept. Everything works there.

How nice for me to tell a story. Wow, Sea Point is the place to be to enjoy the fruits of life. From the gulls and singing birds in the mornings to the beautiful tranquil sunsets in the evenings. The lovely friendly people to the lovely friendly shops and exotic restaurants in our lovely clean and tranquil suburb. The most lovely view of one of the 7 wonders; our Table Mountain and the lovely Lions Head. Our lovely clean and picturesque promenade where every one enjoys the clean air and stunning sea view where on a clear day you can see for miles and miles, with our historical island in the middle. This is why so many people are so envious of our tranquil and exotic and friendly suburb.

I am Devin and I run Afrique Du Sud Backpackers here on Main Rd Sea Point. This is my interpretation of Sea Point. I can sea the sea from my balcony, the sea air and morning mists capture the beauty of the promenade, consumed by morning runners, walkers, cyclists and morning faces just taking a coffee to a bench to hear the waves crashing against the shore. It is a sense of real time sea side that can suck you in, while a busy main road two blocks behind the luxury apartments and sea viewers paradises is an abundance of restaurants, shops, super markets, speciality stores, estate agents (if you have the money) and banks all towered by Lions Head Mountain and Signal Hill behind.
Sea Point also offers an Olympic-sized sea water swimming pool with kilometres of green grass stretching along the sea side towards the light house in Moulli Point, with paths, benches, jungle gyms, talking horses and an outdoor gym!
Main road offers some fine dining from pizza to sushi and one or two real South African local experience pubs!
Everything is accessible with transport moving to and from Cape Town city and the glam beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton all the time at a super low price! Sea Point is a safe place, with visible policing! I have never had a problem and never let anything stop me from enjoying my Sea Point!

It is said that in the old days people use to come and camp in Sea Point in order to enjoy the healthy sea air, good weather and walk on the beach. Looking at all the development over the years, one can hardly imagine this as a camping site! But one thing has remained, the wonderful sea air and the amazing view of Lions Head. The fantastic promenade stretching from Rocklands Bay right up to the Olympic size swimming pool, spacious lawns, frequented by a variety of people ,children and dogs ,certainly gives one the feeling of being on holiday right here in your own suburb. Add to this that you are only 3 km from the city centre, or the V&A waterfront, walking distance to excellent shops and restaurants and its love at first sight.

Sea Point is an affluent and densely populated suburb situated between Signal Hill and the Atlantic Ocean. It is approximately 3km away from the Central Business District (CBD). It has changed into an exciting cosmopolitan suburb of Cape Town with many ethnic and social groups.
The streets are lined up with many vibrant restaurants catering for varied tastes. Shops, supermarkets and bars are also aplenty.
The spacious promenade is a great place to take a stroll or a run. The adventurous can also land on the promenade after jumping off signal hill on a para glider. Kayaking is also offered which allows for dolphin spotting and other residents of the ocean.
There is a stunning olympic size pool on the one end of the promenade offering great views over the ocean towards Robben Island.
Although mainly rocky there are a few sandy beaches in between.
Sea Point has become a sought after area due to it's proximity to the City, the Waterfront and Camp's Bay.
Public transport makes it accessible to see the other areas close to it.

Sea Point is the HEART of Cape Town and is always the seen in the FAMOUS photos of Cape Town. It is located centrally, right in the middle between all the famous landmarks such as Table Mountain, the V&A Waterfront, Lion's Head and the Clifton beaches.
The area is trendy and has amazing restaurants like La Boheme, La Mouette and the Duchess of Wisbeach.
Walking or running along the Sea Point promenade while listening to the waves crashing is an absolute must, especially as the sun is setting over the Atlantic Ocean - spectacular.

We would gladly return to Sea Point, in fact didn't want to leave. It is a beautiful neighbourhood close to shops, waterfront and the V&A along the waterfront drive. We were very happy for our nine days there.

Everything you need you can find right in Sea Point, but if it's quiet that you seek, then it's not the place for you. Lovely as it was, it was very noisy!
