This little town is a little sad and has become a bit neglected. Having said that, the locals are passionate and work hard to make visitors welcome. Dinner at the Supper Club was very good. The history is interesting and the annual book festival well supported.

My parents lived there in the 1980s. Then was a beautiful Karoo village buzzing with activity. When we passed there a couple of years ago we saw the degradation of this little town. When we passed through again we were surprised with the facelift! My parents lived in Tom se Meule and it is beautifully restored. Keep it up, maybe when we retire one day we will settle here.
