Gloriously isolated paradise

Far off the well-trodden tourist routes, it takes quite a bit of effort to get to Pomene but I’d love to go back again and again. Coastal dune forests gives way to a beautiful mangrove estuary, a lagoon and a long sandy beach. The diving is excellent and so is the birding. There’s a lovely little surf spot; a perfect right for beginners. Keep your eyes open for ultra-rare dugongs.
