Northern Drakensberg

During the June school holidays we took our children with us and headed for the mountains. what a joy The Cavern Resort was, its family orientated environment has a lot to offer from daily short or long walks to heritage sights, or horse riding for the experienced or beginners, or if if you want to unwind and do absolutely nothing, there is an onsite Spa overlooking the forest. We will certainly go back again. Our rating is a 7/10

There is a place called Alpine Heath situated at Northern Drakensberg. This is one of the best places I have ever been in South Africa. It is situated within the heart of the Drakensberg mountains chain. This is nature at its best. Fresh air all around you. The quietness of the place. Lots of activities to break your daily routines within the cities such as hiking trails, fishing, horse riding, mountain biking and a whole lot of other entertaining and refreshing activities. There is a wide range of facilities to enhance your leisure time.
