Ilha treasure from an empire of the monsoon

Mysterious and haunting, there’s so much to see on this well-populated island. Beautiful coral buildings, a chapel built in 1522 and an impressive fortress crowd the tiny island; fishing dhows line the beach. Well worth a long day trip from Nacala or Pemba.
