This town could quite easily be the Riviera of South Africa. Nobody however seems to have the vision. The Quigney area if developed would rival Cape Town's most illustrious seafront. The beaches are the best in South Africa. I spent quite some time there in December. Cleanliness, pot-holed streets & dirty sidewalks seem to be a big problem. The hordes of people who flock to the beaches on Xmas and New Year really add to it's already overflowing rubbish strewn streets. It really marred our holiday. One does not want to live in a suburb away from the beach when on a seaside holiday. Hope the Municipality can get it's act together as they are losing a lot of revenue from tourists who drive in slowly and leave speedily. ~ Sandra Pretorius on East London
