Wonderful location, perfect for an early start to Sossussvlei. Catered accommodation seems to be far superior to self-catering. Nice pool, friendly staff.

After a long, dusty trip we found our accommodation for the night, Weltevrede Farm. A true gem! The rooms are comfy, the only thing, our little aircon did struggle a little. But the food made up for it. Lovely coffee and lemon tart to refresh us, a swim in the pool and dinner was home cooked meals at it's best. We were the only guests and had personal service. The stars were amazing as there was little external light. A lovely touch was having to leave early but having packed breakfast, savoury mince jaffels, cheese on fresh farm bread, boiled egg, apple and juice. Outstanding! Excellent value for money.
No shortages. Friendly and helpful

A very friendly camping site. The people were very friendly and helpful. These people have so much trust in their visitors. Thank you guys for that. The javels we orderd was a winner. Thanks to the cooks. I can recommend to anyone. Thank you Willie and your team.

Warmhearted, friendly service. The huts have uninterrupted view of Namibia's endless plains and wide horizon and orange sunset. The cool swimming pool was a life saver in hot month of February. The honesty bar was a cool, comfortable place to relax under the thatched roof. I can recommend this lodge, well situated near Sossusvlei and Sesriem.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at the farm and we made friends with 2 foreigners over a few drinks. The air-conditioned rooms were a blessing and the staff were very helpful.

We had a nice stay @ Weltevrede Guest Farm. We chose it for its location more than anything and haven't been disappointed. It's clean, nice & the staff is friendly. I found the decor a bit 'oldish' but everything else was fine. You get dinner + breakfast with possibility of picking your take-away breakfast very early: it was very convenient

What a warm reception after a hot long journey through the desert. The real hospitality was very heartwarming. We really enjoyed everything that was offered during our stay here. Especially the swimming pool and the viewing of the 'Kelkiewyn' birds coming in for their early morning drink at the pool. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Weltevrede Guest Farm
Situated in the heart of the Namib Desert, some 300 km south west of Windhoek and bordered on three sides by the Namib Naukluft Park, Weltevrede Guest Farm is the home of abundant wildlife and the gateway to the famed Sossusvlei dunes and Sesriem Canyon. Nestled amidst a spectacular mix of rugged mountains, shifting dunes, harsh gravel plains, dusty prehistoric river beds and endless camelthorn trees, you'll find Weltevrede a welcome oasis of friendly hospitality.

Weltevrede Guest Farm offers 12 rooms with a patio area, the ideal spot to enjoy the sunset over the Namib dunes or the small illuminated waterhole where various animals and bird come to drink. All of our rooms are spacious and feature an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning and a small lounge area.

Guests are greeted with friendly hospitality in our open-air boma and activities such as organized sunset walks, ballooning, Sossusvlei excursions, cheetah tracking drives, unguided hiking trails, and swimming are offered. Every day is ended perfectly with a beautiful sunset and a home-cooked traditional Afrikaans meal in our lovely lapa.
