Stay at Palm Grove Lodge

It was a wonderful stay that we had at Palm Grove Lodge. All the people were very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel at home. We are planning to go back there for a family holiday during December. Thank you to all the people at Palm Grove Lodge for a wonderful stay.

Palm Grove Lodge
Palm Grove is a secluded, unspoilt beach bordered by the Inhambane estuary on one side and the sea on the other. The warm waters offer safe bathing and smooth and easy boat launching. Accommodation consists of Casas and Casitas, traditional Mozambican reed houses built with the hot weather in mind. Each cottage has its own open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, as well as a patio with a braai. All the basic amenities are supplied, including a fridge, a gas stove with an oven, cutlery and crockery, pots and pans, and utensils. Linen and mosquito netting are provided and all the living areas are equipped with ceiling fans.

The lodge also features its own restaurant and a communal barbecue area with a bar on the beach. 24-hour security guards are on duty in the lodge, and cleaners are available from 07:00 to 16:00, except on public holidays. Palm Grove Lodge is less than 500 km north of Maputo, with access on tarred roads until the last 7 km leading to the lodge that takes place on on gravel roads. The lodge is nestled amongst the coconut groves and is one of the few lodges with a wonderful beach on its doorstep.

Fishing grounds and diving reefs are nearby and the largely unexplored reefs offer endless pleasures for skin divers and snorkellers. Other activities include birdwatching, canoeing, cruising, fishing and hiking.
